The famous 19th Century Steam Locomotive 'Jupiter' which represented
the Central Pacific Railroad at the 'Golden Spike' Ceremony. There
is also some interesting history provided about Jupiter. Also,
includes one of Richard's recently recovered 'S' Gauge 'Generals'.

These engines are the 1st generation diesels. Richard rode the Santa
Fe, The Hiawatha, and the Burlington Zephyr and other passenger trains
of that era. The Diesel roster also includes other engines from Aerotrain,
Rock Island, Southern Pacific, Alco P-A, and Union Pacific.
|
Chosen for their fit in the time frame of our layout, and for their
historical significance. The Steam roster includes engines such as
the Y6b N & W, WM Challenger, Bur. 0-8-0 SW, GS-2 Milw., UP 8444 & UP

Passenger trains were selected again because of the era involved.
At the same time they were unusual and only a few were built such
as the Aerotrain, (2 only ) & UP M10000. The other trains Richard
chose because he liked the paint colors, and rode them many times
growing up as a boy.
|
Box cars, Flat cars, Refrigerator cars, Tank cars , Depressed Center
cars, Gondola cars, and Trailer Train cars. Some were selected because
honor given to people, places, and things.
