Photographic Hardware Photographic HardwareMain Digital Camera: We use a Nikon D50 SLR at 6 megapixels with a Nikkor AF-S DX 18-55/3.5-5.6G mm lens. The secondary lense is a Tamron AF 28-300 mm 3.5-6.3 AF-D. Flash is supported by both the on board flash and a Nikon SB-600 speed light. Daily Photography Digital Camera: We use a Nikon 5700 which supports a optical zoom of 28-300 mm at 5 megapixels with built in flash. Video HardwareVideo Cameras: Hitachi VM-H945LA 16X Optical 72 X dgital Zoom High 8 with Dual DSP. Our track Camcorder which rides the rails is a Canon ES65 Hi8 22 X Optical with 700 Dignat zoom. Sony Handcam TRV108 with 20 X digital 460 X optial HI 8. Sony Handycam TRV22 Digital 120 X Optical used for high definition video. Web ServerDell Web/Email Server: GAP Railroad indead likes to allow plenty of space and power for our web server. We are using a Dell Dimension 3000 with a P4 3.00 GHZ processor. The system is supported with 1 GB of RAM and 40 GB of harddrive. The website is served up using Apache for web service and MySQL for the backbase. This is backed up to our workstation Dell 8200 which has a P4 2.4 GHZ processor and 512 GP of RAM. Drive space devoted for this system is 400 GB to support video processing and web site updates. Video authoring is accomplished using Pinnacle 9.4 soon to be updated to Pinnacle 10.0. We can process both digital through firewire as well as analog recording with hardware support. |
